5C LS iPAD PILOT 2011 Our 5th grade class will be working with iPads on loan from Apple during April and May. We hope to integrate the technology with all the subject areas, but we are most excited about the research and communication possibilities in preparation for the exhibition. Useful Tool or an Unnecessary Distraction?
Since we have worked with the i Pads for about a month now, I am interested in hearing your perspective. Would you want to have i Pads in class next year? Have they been useful? Do you think you save time (by emailing, sharing work on Google Docs, researching, writing papers ...) or do you think you waste time (by chatting, playing Garage Band, drawing, and playing game applications)?

I think both because you can use it for entertainment and education, since you can play games which is a big distraction, but also you can take notes and search things in the Internet that can help you.
I think I pads are great to research but it is tempting to play a Game that can distract you a lot, and makes you not do your work and play instead. I still think they are a great tool for information and without them we would be really behind with information in our exhibition
I think it's a very useful tool because it has helped my exhibition group and me investigate more and more about Sea Turtles and also it would be great if we could use them next year and keep investigating about the iPads
I thing s a usefull tool because it help us research someyimes is tempting to play,but is ausefull tool i think they should stay for next year!!!! I love ipadss!
I think the iPads are very useful but at the same time it is not very useful because you get distracted
I think the I pads are a useful tool to research and to watch brain pop videos, But at the same time they are a distraction. So I think the I pads are o.k.
I think that the i pads are a very good device.At the same time that they are good they can also be a big distraction,because sometimes when i am working on my ipad i get ditracted and start playing games.
I think it is kind of a distraction but it is us full too , I really prefer computers but I think is great to have them !
I think the iPads were very useful when we didn't had the computers because we could do research and work on exhibition, but they are also a big distraction because it is very tempting to play. But I still think they were very useful.
I think that the iPads sometimes are necesary for researching and making sometimes homework. But sometimes we get distracted because we get atracted to play the games we have.
I think iPads are both of those things but it is a big toy for us and I think most of us or everyone has played in their iPads.
I think that if we don't know how to control ourselfs with the games it is an distraction but we should not use it all the time on games and also use it as an tool.
I think it is more a distration because many people play a lot of games in it.
But still I think that they are more a useful thing, such as I said in my first comment.
I think that the I pads are great but some times there are a distraction for many persons in the class. But sometimes we use it for working in a fun way, you learn in a very fun way love it !!!!!!!!!
